Not many players turn down the opportunity to play for the USNTDP, certainly not many players who would be stars in the program. Blake Biondi is an exception. The Hermantown, Minnesota native chose to stay with his Hermantown High School team, which he'll captain this fall. Biondi has scored at will at every level he's played at. He currently stands 6'0, and weighs 181 pounds. He's an extremely fast skater with a quick and accurate wrist shot. His hands are well above average and he is always finishing checks. He's naturally a center, but has played on the wing during international tournaments.
Biondi constantly creates for his teammates, and analyzes the game at a high speed. Watch here as he speeds into the zone, and then uses his teammate as a decoy to slip the puck 5 hole:

Biondi's positioning in the offensive zone is elite, he is always in prime scoring areas. He also has the ability to break down defenses to set up an easy finish:

Biondi also has a quick and accurate one timer:
With no holes in his game, Biondi will be an ideal selection for a team picking in the late first round.
